My leukemia's back.

Wonderful news--Honey got offered a full time spot at the Home Health company! I don't know if I'd mentioned it here, but they were bringing him on per diem until one of the LPNs got her RN (about 2 months) and he was going to work both there and at the nursing home. He really didn't want to do the nursing home, but hey we gotta eat. Well, 4 days of training and they're so impressed with him they called this morning and offered him a full time spot, effective immediately

. Plus, sign-on bonus! This is so great for us, and doing absolute wonders for him.

I'm not too worried about the CV. My folks adopted 2 of my siblings as older children and I remember how stressed my Mom always got when the visitors/inspectors/whatever would come out. Well, my home is what it is, but apparently it looked good to Echo. I mean, sure, I'll clean things up, but it's still pretty small and lived in. Blooie, funny what you said about the house being too small for them to get into much trouble.....Big Boy had a girl over last week. Now, I would be the first person to say my teenage son is NOT having a girl in his bedroom. BAD IDEA, right? But, they really wanted to play video games and his system is in his room. Then, thinking it over, I realized he has no door on his room. He lost that years ago when he decided slamming the door was appropriate, and we never put it back on. And, his room is on the only hallway to the bathroom--yeah, I let my teenage son have a girl in his room. I can guarantee there were no shenanigans cause I was walking up and down that hall all afternoon. Not that I think things would have happened anyway, but better safe than Grandma, right?

Uhhh, fire extinguisher. We should have one of those, shouldn't we? Especially with a wood stove

Sorry, Rachel.... I just had to link those bold print sentences together. Don't know what's going on with my head today... must be lack of sleep.

LG I don't dance, I balter.
I gave Rachel my happy dance for her good news. But I don't dance, I balter.

Oh, kind of like a cow on ice. Got it. That's how you'd describe me. Is there a musical version of balter as well? Cause, I've definitely got that one going. I don't sing in the general sense of the word, but... I do make a joyful noise. A crusty fellow at church, if he's sitting behind me, will poke me in the back, and say... none too quietly... "Hey, don't sing so loud!" I'm kind of like the frog with laryngitis. Can't wait till God gives me that perfect voice. I try to not sit in front of the back poker.

LG, my special friend, God already thinks you have a perfect voice and wouldn't change a thing!

I've always said what I lack in pitch and tone, I make up for with volume and enthusiasm

. I'm sure God smiles every time I raise my voice to him, cause He loves me.

I'd sit right behind that crusty old man and just belt those songs out. don't sing loud? Is he serious?

The CV left, he's pretty happy with things. He's not thrilled with the sleeping arrangements (Sugar Monkey and Echo take turns sleeping on the floor), but I told him I'm not either. A mattress is on the to-buy list, we just need to have enough money. Echo knows he can sleep on the sofa if he'd rather, but they actually like sleeping on the floor cause Eve sleeps with them.
