My leukemia's back.

I think that I am going to get some piercings for my 75 th birthday.

When I got my ears repierced it was in the med room of the nursing home where I was working. One of the med techs did it with a paper clip dipped in alcohol. Yep, hurt like crazy.

I've been thinking about getting a second set of holes in my ears. I don't think I really want them, it's more of that life-affirming thinking I'm having like buying plants and dogs. I rarely wear one set of earrings, what do I need another set for?

Since it's come up, who has tattoos?

I can not imagine liking something enough that I would want to see it everyday for the rest of my life.
People I know who won't wear the same shirt for two seasons will get a weird tattoo that will be there forever.
If the urge arises, they have sharpies for that.

I did finally get my ears pierced for my 50th birthday, A friend had it done for me. My mother would shame me -telling me I had too many holes in my head already and only sluts had pierced ears... so when I finally peeled myself away from that toxic relationship, my friend drove me to the mall and we did it.
... we would put the dots where I wanted them, then the lady would wipe them off and replace them right next to my face. We'd say "No!" and move them in the center. Finally after about the fifth go around she said, "fine"...and pierced them right next to my face. I guess she thought I would want two eventually. I didn't. So I let them grow in. I might have them redone by my allergist. His wife told me that he did hers and they are perfect.

I have one pierced ear ( my phone said rear good thing I caught that)...I wore an earring for many years when I lost it never replaced it.
I have a heart tat on my arm with my girlfriends name in it....from high school....good thing I married her.
