My leukemia's back.

Phil---it's sure a love/hate relationship, isn't it? All this time I've been pushing to taper, pushing to get off....until I feel this bad, them I'm gulping the little buggers down, side effects be ******. I've got to be able to breathe long enough to get osteoporosis and diabetes and all the fun stuff that can happen

. I'm fully aware it's probably mostly mental, but I do feel better this morning. We'll see how chores go.
My Dad had Multiple Sclerosis. One of the things they gave him for it was prednisone. It helped him through relapses but eventually at another relapse they would not give it to him because of kidney damage.

He was so desperate to feel better that Mom caught him eating hand cream medicine that had prednisone in it. You are not alone with a love hate relationship with it for sure!

@donrae take it easy today! Good call on letting Echo go.

@Blooie have a safe trip and get a room if it looks at all questionable!

@LittleLakePhil I got you a pretty outfit to take to Alice:

Go Blue! (Yeah, U of M fan here, lol)

Well, got across the mountains but not without incident. Spun and slid off the road coming down. Car ended up against the side of a mountain instead of spinning toward the other side - I probably wouldn't be telling you about it if it had - that side was a shortcut right down to the bottom. Took out a couple of delineators as we hitt, and stopped facing the opposite way that we were heading. We're fine, minor damage to the car. It took some digging to get us free enough to get out. Broke the windshield. But by golly, we're gonna get to Ken's meeting on time.

OMG Blooie...that is awful! Hope you are both unhurt...God be with you to continue your journey in safety!

Love...and prayers for an uneventful conclusion to your destination...

. Praying for safe travels to get you there and home. Home is good!

BLOOIE!!!!! What are you doing, girl???? No meeting is worth risking life and limb. Get yourselves a room, and preferably the honey moon suite. You're both blessed that you're both alive for an other day, so enjoy each other's company! Next time, when the weather is nasty, hog tie that man and just stay home.

BTW, Phil. Little Alice is too cute!!!

Rachel, glad the Pred is working for you. Take care, rest up.

Hey...it might be better to find the right dose than to keep going up and down. I would think it would be best to find the lowest dose that keeps you comfortable and hanging there for a while. Especially on the winter. That roller coaster isn't health or productive.
