I'm so glad to see women putting their husband's needs first. Way too much in our society we as women put our children first, to the point where I feel we worship/idolize the children. It wrecks marriages every day, and the women don't have a clue why. They think they're being good mommas cause our society tells us we have to put our kids first, above all else, all the blessed time. Sorry, little soapbox there.....but you get the idea. Your marriage should last long after those kiddos are grown and on their own, that man will be the one to be with you and support you, and you should be there to support him. Kudos to you! And you need to mourn/grieve, also, it's not just him.
Amazing how resourceful folks can become when there's a need, isn't it?
Phil, we talked a bit about the blood sugar. He wanted to check my number today, but I'm not sure he understands how his lab works. They drew a basic panel, that includes glucose, but as they've recently moved to a new office, they can't run it in-house. It got sent to the hospital, and being Friday afternoon, I won't get results until Monday
.
Mostly, I've just got to get a hold on my diet. I know I'm running on carbs and my numbers are probably high. I've had issues with insulin resistance and high sugars in the past, before I got sick. Not this high, but I know the feelings. It's hard to cut back on the carbs, though, when my body is screaming it's starving and they'll make me feel better. Hopefully cutting the prednisone down will give me the emotional kick to get better control of my eating. I may challenge Big Boy to a weight loss contest, a little competition doesn't hurt anything also
Sugar Monkey's in rearranging those eggs as I type.......he just brought them in to show me there's finally enough of the different colors he can do a staircase, with each row a different color....
