First is my new Marans, Mel. He's in with a small group of my mature Marans ladies and so far they're not too especially impressed. But I'm sure he'll win them over....

And next my pretty Valentine's day gift....

The guys found this in a locust tree. Honey sanded it down and now we're waiting for it to dry out, it weighs a ton!

Are you keeping him? Are you going to be oh so careful about him around your birds?

I'm not sure exactly what to do with the wooden heart yet. I'm just letting it dry out until we move, then I'll find a place for it in the new house or barn.

Ask no sleep tonight either.....breathing is very labored tonight...took another 20 mg prednisone today should break now that the temps are on the way up.

We've been trying to find his owners but no luck and he didn't have any id (and wasn't chipped). He's such a loving dog, we'll probably, ok 99% sure we'll keep him.

Busy day yesterday.....some days I wish could be uneventful. Just once in a while.

Hubby had MRI on his back yesterday. Dr called and said they found several tumors. Fluid will be drawn out of them to determine if cancerous or not.

Step daughter had to be induced to have her 2nd baby early. She's been having mental issues.....to put it mildly. They have yet to weigh the baby with I thought is unheard of. But she is supposedly fully developed. She's so tiny. It appears that she also has neurofibromatosis just like her sister and daddy. Prayers for them. It's the type of NF that causes learning disabilities. I am thankful she appears healthy.

Busy day today as well. You all have a great day. Off to work I go!
