My leukemia's back.

Yeah, Outpost! Enjoy those adorable chicks! We need more chick pics...
Suzie, Hang on. Don't lose hope. Remember hope is faith in what is not yet seen. I am hoping you have a better day tomorrow!
Phil, Thanks for your encouragement to others. It makes me smile.
Where's Ghost these days? NFL,Rnott & Bunnylady, How are you?

Yeah, remember the debate on shoes vs, eggs/chicks/hens a couple weeks back? Well, guess I am not getting new shoes this month! Just ordered 2 new hens-OE & Welsummer- for next Tuesday, then am going to set a dozen eggs hopefully next weekend?? Will need to drive 3 hours to get them as I don't want to ship them! And of course, not sure if I really want to wait a month for chicks! Thanks for posting on the ratios of Male vs. Female! May God have mercy on me and make it more females than males! Would like to sell 3 of the chicks to help cover the cost of the eggs. And any males will be sold or go to my elite freezer camp. For once it is relatively quiet around here other than daily living and bumps. (Goes and hides

before anything bad happens.)
I have had that bad cough that is around this year. Tomorrow will be 4 weeks! My cough is almost gone....

We are approaching set day for the easter hatch a long and I am helping to run it again this year. Some of the contests are amazing this year! I am hosting several of them.

Blessings to all of you!

Awww...babies

. chicks and eggs are important!

How many times have I heard a kid whine about being bored, right? What they don't understand is, there's a lot to be said for things being boring . . .

Things have been relatively boring around here. We had the farrier out yesterday; it has finally gotten dry enough to get the horses out of the barn area without having to wade through ankle-deep mud. Though we had a little rain overnight, it is windy today, which should help to dry up a lot of what fell. It looks like we may be heading into the usual Springtime "I'll believe it when I see it" rainfall pattern; some years that's a pain, but this year it would be a blessing.

My latest construction project is nearing completion . . . . only a year late, but whatthehey, it's getting it done that matters, right?

No chicks in the plans yet, looks like the baby bunnies that were in the plans aren't happening

What's your latest construction project Bunny? (Sorry if you said and I missed it.)

It's a small chicken coop. BB2K and I have been working on it off and on. Besides things like fasteners and hardware, it's entirely made of materials that are left over or reused, so it's basically free!

Working in health care, and then being a complicated patient, I embraced the mantra "boring is good". You never, ever want to be the patient one doctor excitedly corners another to say "I have the most interesting thing going on with this lady...."

But. in the not boring enough category, I didn't get my tooth extracted today. My blood pressure was too high. Guess that teensy tiny smidge of Ativan I took before I went in was too teensy. Bottom number was in the 1teens

. So, they're not going to touch me with those numbers of course. I have a call out to my pcp. She'd talked about putting me on Cozaar at my last appointment but we'd decided to just wait things out.....well, I guess we waited long enough!

I want to be able to start a construction project...where's the kind of pouting smilie? I'm so tired of feeling like I can't do anything on this property cause it's so wet and muddy, and we don't want to do anything permanent cause we're going to be moving. That chronic feeling of being on hold is getting old.

Rachel, how's the house hunt going? Have you seen anything that looks like a good fit for you and your family?

Oh yeah, we saw a beautiful place. 7 acres of level to rolling, dead end road, had been logged of soft wood but still had a lot of hardwood (madrone and oak) standing, some good places to put the animals (although no fences or outbuildings), a gorgeous house built in 2005 with 4 bedrooms, granite counter tops, double attached garage, skylights, jetted tub....just at the top of our price range. Lovely, right? The kicker----it has no well. Are you kidding me? No water? Well, it's got a big ol holding tank and the water truck can come by twice a month.....unh hunh. Back to the MLS listings again.....

No well? Maybe someone should have used the money from the jetted tub, marble, etc. for a well.

You'll find something and you'll know it when you see it!
