I'm telling you, I could have beaten my nephew with a stick while I was at my Moms. Seriously, we just lost my Dad basically because of the stupid cigarettes, and my dumbass nephew comes in her house with a mouthfull of chew. I thought she was going to have a stroke, and I would happily have hurt him, except we don't do that in our family. Little punk's only 19 years old, and willingly hooking himself on that stuff. And flaunting it in front of my Mom. I couldn't believe it.

Finally saw my Marans rooster mate a hen in his pen! Maybe my eggs in the incubator will be fertile, we'll see in a week or so.

We put our house on the market a few days ago. We got an offer but it's not going to work for us. We're willing to be very reasonable but not to the point of giving the house away. Hopefully, someone will come along that doesn't want something for nothing.

I'd be willing to bet that offer was one of those bargain hunters that is looking for things they can "flip," so naturally they want to get it as cheap as possible to maximize profit. Hopefully you will get a legitimate offer soon - too bad you have to waste time on folks like that to get to the real buyers.

A big waste of time is what it came down to. I tried to meet them 1/2 way, even offered to pay their closing costs and the realtor offered to take a cut in commission. This couple based their "offer" on what they want to pay per month (I get that) but they're looking at houses way over that amount and want a seller to drastically drop the price. Ridiculous. Even though we're moving, we aren't desperate...the company DH will be working for is providing a house for us so we don't need the proceeds from the sale for the purchase of another house. We can afford to wait for someone serious to come along. Got me steamed, the unreasonableness.

Sorry! Rant over, need to get back to packing stuff.
