Haven't been on much, check a few threads here and there. Too many owies going on after my fall. Going in for an MRI on my shoulder tomorrow. Didn't even know they did that. At least my knee is better, just tender on the very top. My fracture in my hand must be better, feels better. ☺

I get MRIs on my shoulders all the time.
Can't stand it anymore.... Somehow over time I've developed Claustrophobia..... So now they give me the good drugs first.

That sucks Phil. I imagine you have those generators due to past experience.

Here we don't burn soft wood..... Only dry hardwood..... Burns do much longer and better....l cleaner too.
But I imagine you there you don't have as much hardwood.....

Yep, some time back there was a lady in British Columbia on another forum. All they have to burn is pine and cedar! Talk about fast burning, I don't know how you keep a house at a somewhat constant temperature unless you stay up 24x7 to feed it small batches.

I know.... But you got to work with what you got.
Maple is King here for firewood.
I don't heat with wood.... But I might somewhat.
I was gonna put wood heat in. Then the price of propane dropped so much wasn't worth doing.

only wood you can reliably get around here is spruce. Every so often you can get birch, but that isn't much better.

And yeah... makes for lots of work and lots of wood needed.

We have a fuel oil forced air heater that keeps the bedroom half of the house from freezing (still off, but when we do run it I try to keep it as low as possible ), and we have one wood stove for the rest of the house... haven't started that either. Blasted baffle on it busted that switches it from catalytic to non....the part that busted is in the super hot part of the fire box...so not fixable. We don't have the money to upgrade the stove, and starting it when it is on a smoked up catalytic always results in a little smoke (or a bunch). Once it is all heated up it runs fine...

anyway. ..what a beast.


But we went back up to mid 40s...so no heat needed.

I don't look at that machine! When I go in for one, I look down.. then keep my eyes closed the whole time. I'm not too fond of closed in quarters either! Just had my brain and neck done, man it was hard to stay still with my shoulder hurting. It was a long time because I had them done with and without contrast. Eyes squenched shut the whole time. Why have you had your shoulders done?

I get claustrophobia too but last time I went to am open MRI place. They asked me to bring a tape (it was olden days) and you get to hear it play. I was so relaxed they kept bothering me "are you okay?" I was breathing!

I also realized if I would keep my eyes closed or wear an eye mask, I would have been fine.

Back then the Dr.told me it would be $ 1,000. Gasp. He lied it was $ 1800
