My leukemia's back.

Our "Little Diane" is all grown up. :hit

Only thing I got from this doctor's appointment was a consult to St. V's hospital for an endoscopy. He's setting that up. Oh, and a Wendy's Baconator with extra bacon. I deserved it! :thumbsup

I did at first, Debby. Around 11 last night not so much. <sigh>

Little Diane and Pete made it home safely around 1:30 this morning. They beat the storm heading in, and that's all I cared about. They only had one incident - they got pulled over while Pete was driving, 12 miles from the WY/SD state line, for expired tags. At first she argued with the trooper about it, so he made her get out of the car and look at her tags. Yep, expired the end of November. <Head slap!> She had the new ones and the new registration - sitting on her counter along with the box of Christmas gifts they were bringing back for the little ones. Pete thought she put the tabs on and she thought he did. But the funniest thing was trying to convince the officer that she really was 23 years old. He was concerned for her welfare and safety because she looked so young. As I said, Pete can be kinda scary looking with the dreadlocks, his height, and all the tattoos. So the officer was concerned that she was under-age with a fake ID, being across state lines with this odd looking dude. He called in her information to verify it. He gave them a warning ticket - and then chuckled and gave her a candycane too! Said he couldn't resist...he keeps a box full of them in his patrol car for kids when he pulls a car over. She said Pete grumbled the rest of the way into Sheridan because he didn't get one. Only in this family.

It's wonderful to have family come for the holidays, when possible.

DD #1 and her 3 kids came, of course, but this year I was able to have my oldest granddaugter spent the night after Christmas with us. It was wonderful. We built a nice fire outside, and I hooked up the trailer to the tractor. We roasted marshmallows, drank hot chocolate, and took hay rides.

Last night, everyone left. Dh looked around, and swore it would take us 3 months to get the place back in order. I laughed. Yes, it will take me a couple days to get things cleaned up, and back in order, but that's not too bad considering I had 5 people here, and 4 of them were kids. The kitchen is in pretty good shape. I've got some clutter to clear off the counters, but that seems to be ongoing. I'll do the bathrooms tonight, and the dusting. Tomorrow night, I'll vacuum again, and use my floor machine to scrub the floors. That's about all that has to be done. The laundry is all done.

This weekend, I'll do the first dose of wormer on my chickens. A couple are beginning to lay again, so before they all get back into full swing, I want to get that done. I hate having to toss eggs, so now is the best time to worm them.

Blooie, I love the candy cane story. That's so cute....even if Pete didn't get one, or maybe because he didn't get one.
