The mechanical engineer in him is definitely back - you should see all the bungie cords for his water bottle, carabiners for keys, tools, etc, pouches for his cellphone - attached all over his wheelchair.

Al, so sorry you and your family are going through this. Having been down the many days of ICU, dancing around with "will he or won't he survive" with my hubby, i have a bit of an inkling what you are going through. We all cope differently. Prayers for you and yours.
