Way to go awesome, keep up the great work.
Radiation was brutal today hubby starting bleeding around trach and neck area. They called me back right away, showed me, how painful. Said to use Vaseline or Aquaphor. He's now resting, but the blood whoa. They called it radiation burn, & that it's not a reaction. Comforting I guess.

Well, they couldn't get any fluid with my latest stabbing/needle aspiration. Seems like the pockets are turning into scar tissue. It was interesting to watch the screen as the needle was in there - I could feel the tugging and watch how the needle just wouldn't advance into the space. Guess I should be proud of how tough my scar tissue is, right?Probably could deflect bullets.
Anyways, now on to fight the swelling. At least there didn't seem to be signs of infection, just lots of surrounding inflammation. We'll see what my onc says on Thursday
All if this new scar tissue... is it making it LESS painful, or MORE painful?![]()
sounds like a plan.Same painful. Well, at least not more painful. I think if I can get the surrounding swelling down it will be less painful and I will just live with a bag of scar marbles in me for the foreseeable future.
