My leukemia's back.

Hunkering! Snow started at 9 AM. Winds are picking up now. Not white out conditions yet. Hubby stayed home today. That's a blessing as he has an hour commute each way in good weather. This is a good day to catch up on laundry, do a bit of house work. Glad I got some outdoor chores done yesterday.

Keep your chins up, even as you keep your shins covered! If what we have today follows the pattern, warmer, sunnier days are coming to you! We went from 12 below zero to 27 so far this morning, exactly one week apart - very little wind, and the skies are abundant with sunshine!

Glad he was able to stay home, sometimes bosses don't quite understand the danger their employees are in when traveling in really foul weather. I chose to skip my weekly trip to Northampton. It is a long enough drive in good weather, really tiring in bad.

Glad you decided to skip the trip Bruce, looks like it's getting ugly out there.

My dtr has such a boss. I urged her to stay home today, and hope that she will stand up to him. No job is worth risking life or limb.

You're right LG, jobs aren't worth it. Hope she listened to you (but if not, wishing her a safe trip back & forth to work).

Shoot, LG - tell that to Ken. I can't even tell you the risks we've sometimes taken just because he gave his word that he'd be somewhere for a function, on time and ready to go. Snowy mountains, (we ran into the side of the mountain once) driving for hours on end in driving snow or rain...he's like the poster child for "if I said I'd be there, I'll be there." More than once we got there and they didn't even have enough others so that they could open lodge. Just good old Ken and his trusty sidekick, Diane! <sigh>
