My leukemia's back.

Good morning Team Rachel.

I took it back just a few days back because I had said I thought it was turning off. Remember they can bring up readings. It never showed that it turned off. It's just slowing down too far. So, a new mask. One that doesn't leak. The first one didn't seal right. This one I had to tighten up so much, my head was hurting pretty bad by morning. Well, slept pretty good last night. No machine, and in a recliner. My breathing is better in a more upright position. This is usually the case for a lot of folks with sleep apnea. How is everyone else doing? Come on, I don't want to be the only one benefiting from sharing my hard time at the min. I know folks here care, listen, and pray for us. Plus, we've come to genuinely care and wonder how things are with you. Let us know. :):love:hugs

Having trouble finding the right mask to fit. Plus, not sure this fancy little machine is working right. Back to the place for a third fitting of another mask. :hmm Deb, wishing you better luck on this. I'm being told that this is normal, finding the right fit in the beginning. But...the machine? It is slowing way down .. when my breathing slows down! What? Worked right the first few nights. I woke up a few times feeling like I was suffocating with the air going so slow, and with the mask tight. Turned off the machine...it resets it. Nope. Didn't start out like it normally does. I'm not wearing it tonight. Waiting for a call back. And I was so excited about this at first. :(
:barnie

I hope you get it figured out!

Cynthia, I have no trouble believing sleeping in an inclined position helps with your apnea. My mother had digestive issues. She couldn't sleep laying flat, without reflux. Dad put a brick under each side of the bed post at the head of the bed, and inclined the bed. Not only did it help stop her reflux, but it helped with dad's snoring.

Well... I have a cold, mostly just this horrid cough, so just a reason to whine.

My dad is still in that horrid limbo of alive, but not working to get better. He is even getting my mom to spend nights at his side. (he alternates between an actual hospital and a high need nursing home that sucks rocks).

I worry about my mom a great deal... nothing I can do though.

My eldest is down there now, so he cooks for her when she stops by the house long enough to eat. (and yes, he cleans up the kitchen when done ) But there isn't much more he can do for her.

And my eldest is being super honored the week of July 4th.... but that was decided this last Monday. And he needs fancy clothes... and I thought I had done great at finding exactly what he wanted, website said that they had a 5 week turn around... great, just barely works. ...

ordered.... they emailed back with a "dear valued customer, did you need the order for a specific date? Because it will be finished 9/22"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anything faster will look like a Walmart special!

OK... fine.... we can borrow stuff for the ceremony in July. BUT WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT! !!!!
