My leukemia's back.

I had forgotten how much "stuff" has to be done after a person dies.

We STILL haven't gotten the obit out. My dad's students wrote 5, I wrote 1..... my mom said she liked mine for the New Braunfels paper .... but wanted to "correct" it.

She hasn't picked one yet for the Houston paper. :barnie

So yeah, not a single obit sent to any paper anywhere.

I guess it doesn't really matter if it is late....

I think most people have heard and know when the funeral is.

:idunno
AL I'm so sorry Bud.
I'm not even sure what I will do if my mom goes before me.......I know I personally want nothing no funeral..... No obit.... Nothing.
I told my wife to have a pig roast the next summer
But seriously I have no idea what to do if my mom goes first....I figure I'll go first anyways.... But....hmmmm

One of our granddaughter's has been ill for a while. It started out with some sores on her head that got worse and turned into boils. And then sores on her arms and then sores on her torso and then sores down on her legs. Her eyes are just a horrible bloodshot red and swollen. Mom had taken her to a couple of different Drs. They tested her for the west nile of all things, and also Lyme disease. They found out she didn't have any viruses, they couldn't understand why all the inflammation. They went ahead and sent her home after three days in the hospital of tests and MRI. Here's what mom was told, and what she wrote the family. .... She was discharged from the hospital today. They still are not sure what she has but know a lot of things she doesn’t have. The rheumatologist is pretty sure she has an auto immune disease but not sure which one. We now have to give it Time see if she can get off the steroid drops in her eyes and if her rash goes away. Then follow up regularly with the rheumatologist for the next year and see what happens. She had granuloma annular 8 years ago and with her granulars elevated in her blood now they are thinking Sarcoidosis. Then we found out that is what her grandma K has so pretty sure She has it. ............ Poor thing, our daughter told us that she had said that her tears felt like fire. She's 17. Let's pray this will subside, what ever it is.
Prayers for sure.....:hugs

Talk about 3 degrees of separation. I was aware that Jenny's doctor's office is located in the complex where the Annapolis shooting took place and that she went to the doctor the day before the shooting. Princess just told me that when she called last night our son mentioned that one of the reporters who was killed had contacted him about doing a story on Jenny and her battle. The world is indeed closely connected.

slight freak out on my part.

Trying to pack.... we bought clothes and shoes... but no new luggage.

:barnie

Then my mom today is all " your youngest walks funny, I made an appointment with a chiropractor for him." Did that this afternoon.

Trying to pack, leaving tomorrow at 6:30 am.....

mom says "take a bunch of your dad's ties"

Yeah.... they don't take much space , even a bunch of ties.... but I think that started my stress..... :old

My dad always dressed nice ... custom made suits, ties. ... cowboy boots....
