My leukemia's back.

Dh went to the doctor. Cold like symptoms, and sore throat. They tested him, and he's got strep throat. Just what we needed, right?
He should of had a high fever too--higher than a cold.

Strep throat leading to Rheumatic fever is the likely cause of many health issues for my DW. She has had strep so many times that she does not even have symptoms now. Most Dr.s do not think it is bad for Adults either

Yes ron, he was running a pretty high fever. They gave him amoxicillin for 10 days. He's not feeling good, and can't get out and do as much. He's grousing about it.

I told my Dr. when I went in, and she prescribed antibiotics for me. I have them on hand, just in case. I try to keep some on hand, because of my compromised immune system. You know how it goes. Any illness waits until Friday night to set in. I can't wait until Monday to start treating it. Daughter is aware, and ready to call the doctor for herself, and the kids, if any of them show symptoms.

BTW, my PT scan was very good. NOTHING new, and NOTHING active. Yay!

Yesterday I made two big home-made chicken pot pies for supper. The family tore into them. Even the kids ate more than usual. By the time I was done making them, I remembered why I don't make them that often. They're a good bit of work to make. Next time I want to make some, I think I'm going to buy a few of the throw-away aluminum lasagna pans, and make 4-6 of them, and freeze some for later.

Congrats on the scan!

When you freeze stuff, some of the flavor goes. Adding a bit more seasoning helps

Thanks NFC. I just hope he got to the doctor soon enough, so he didn't contaminate the entire household.

Yeah, I was glad I went to a different DMV for my parking hangars. The guy explained that back in the day, all the older folks qualified, and when someone got a handicapped hangar, they issued 2 of them, and they was good for life. This being Florida, the capitol of the US for retirees, 3/4 of the people in the state had handicapped parking. In addition, the handicapped person did not have to be in the car, so anyone driving a handicapped person's vehicle, or borrowing the extra hangar, could park in the handicapped spaces. When they changed the rules about the types of health issue qualifications, and having to get a doctor to re-certify them every 4 years, the vast majority of people did not qualify. Another change was that they number them, and issue a registration with them. The named person must be the one using it. My extra one is under the visor in Dh's car, and it's only hung when I'm driving his car, or a passenger. He can't use it unless I'm in the car.

Because they're more cautious now, the lady at the DMV saw my paperwork which said I only needed it for a year. Even though I got the paperwork corrected, she was aware that the original said I only needed it for a year, which is why she gave me a hard time about it. He said she would have probably printed my sticker to be valid for a year, instead of the full 4 years. They can do that, in the event they think someone is abusing the system.

The plastic hangars cost the state money, and they give the permanent ones free. The changes have eliminated a lot of abuses to the system, and saved the state a very significant amount of money. I understand all that, but I'm not abusing the system, even if her perception of my need is skewed.
