So muscovy are more sensitive to cold than other ducks?
Yep.

They are from central America.

And their feathers do not shed water as well as all of the mallard derived ducks (all other domestic ducks are derived from the Mallard).

I think their feet freeze more easily too... but it had been years since I had other kinds of ducks... so not sure.

They definitely freeze way more easily than chicken feet.

However they are happy in the 20s, so they aren't super sensitive.

Well... the south facing door.... and the entrance door.

Actually, a bit of new snow to cover the ever growing yellow snow would be nice. Getting annoying to walk around it to get to the house.

I went to the oncologist today. She ordered my usual set of scans, and they drew blood. She did re-up all my medications for another year. It's been a year now with no new activity. Yay!!!
Very good news!!!
