My leukemia's back.

Normally, I am not overweight. When they give me high amounts of steroids to offset the side effects of chemo, I can breathe, and gain weight. It takes almost a year before my system gets to where I can even lose weight. I've tried the low carb diets, but find that when I've lost the weight, and go back to eating normally, I gain it back. When I count calories, and get my portions under control, I find that after I go off the diet, I can keep the weight off. I don't advocate one diet over another, because people are different, and not one-size-fits-all. It's best to find what works for you.

sour, having weight issues all my life, go to a true diet that limits something or focuses on certain kinds of food choices if you understand my meaning. because I have had little or no luck on those pre made meal diet centers. Why? because they don't teach you how to eat after the weight loss, and that is as important as losing the weight. But if you do choose that way, loose it and switch to a plan to keep it off after you lose it. but as you stated see a MD. because (s)he may have the right option(s) for you.
