Unfortunately our dear friend did pass away from the leukemia.

However, we have kept this thread alive and use it as a waiting room/support group for those with medical problems, life stresses, as well as those experiencing the loss of a loved one.

I’ve been looking throughout more areas in backyard chickens and her post was one that stayed with me. After posting in this thread though, I realized I was replying to a years old posting of hers. I believe I removed it but not soon enough. So sorry to do that especially for such a difficult topic. Thank you to all for explaining the situation and for all being so kind about it. This sounds like a very special thread with some really nice people. Again I’m very sorry for my mistake but especially for the loss of your friend.

OFChickens, welcome to this thread.

I've accomplished a lot today, so I'll have some play time later.

I baked a bunch of cookies. It was my first time ever doing cookie cutter cookies. New recipe, new experience. I went yesterday evening, and got most of what I'll need to decorate them. Next time I go to Wally World, I'll get a couple more cookie sheets, and cooling racks.

I’ll take a dozen, with red hots on them! For some reason whenever we go our annual Christmas cookie decorating with the grands, they love to make several just covered in them. I used to like the holly leaf cut out cookie, and where the 3 red berries would be I liked red hots there. Little Diane, Jamie, Evan snd Katie came to their own conclusions and decided to load them up, and have done it ever since! Pictures of your beautiful cookies, please!

We’re on the road again. I’m getting so tired of banquets, hotel rooms, and being in the car.
