My lil Fandango died last night, heartbroken...

I'm so sorry for your loss. It's rough to lose an animal, regardless of how little time you've had it. Don't beat yourself up about it. These things happen and it's best to just remember little Fandango at her best.

My condolences on the loss of Fandango...It's so hard to lose one that you've slaved over...it's a heartbreaker...
But she'll be waiting for you across the bridge.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my favorite Buff Orpington chick the other day. I had an old resin chair in the pen for when I would visit the chicks. apparently Gracie jumped up onto the chair and got her head caught in the back rungs. I am heartbroken! She was the sweetest chicken I had. She would get up on my shoulder and nuzzle her head against my cheek. I got rid of that chair and even had my husband break it up before tossing it. I never thought about those rungs.

I've lost 2 chicks to a dog , one to a hawk, and lost a baby turkey who wouldn't eat. It's never easy.

She followed me like I was the last thing on earth, wouldnt let me out of her sight so its tuff

It's especially hard when you know they have chosen you to be their special friend, and you feel you've let them down. But I believe animals are far wiser than we are, even the young ones, and they choose wisely. Savor the menory that a special little chicken thought you were
[ the last thing on earth

Not all of us humans are so fortunate to be so "chosen" by our animal friends.
