My Angel has to go to the vet today. Her little foot is swollen and draining. She had problems before and I was putting Neosprin Ointment on it and it seemed to be cleared up.... but she was not standing on it this morning. I took her out of the pen and into the tub for a swim. I put her into a dog kennel by herself. She just cuddled with me so much, poor little girl. I am glad that the vet was willing to see her, it is a visiting vet. I will keep her quiet until then.

Angel went to the vet this morning and she has Bumblefoot. The vet opened it up and squirted antibiotics in there and gave me some Synotic w/Baytril to put on it twice a day after soaking the foot with Betadine for 5 minutes. She then put Netties shoes on Angel (which she was very impressed with). She was a visiting vet that is just going to be here for a couple of weeks - who knows about birds. I wish that we could keep her. She said to rub Preparation H on the bottom of her feet to make them tougher. She said to use the cream kind not the oily kind - and just put it on the bottom of both feet - keeping it away from the Bumblefoot. It is supposed to make their feet tougher. Have any of you ever heard about that. The vet is from New Mexico and said she is used to treating raptures.
