My little crew that just hatched out on our farm :)

Here are some pictures of the little ones we just hatched out...well our two hens Sophie and Marley hatched really.

We really weren't planning on having any more chicks (especially this year) but our Phoenix Bantam "Sophie" decided to start sitting on about 10 or so eggs one day. All of our hens lay their eggs in the same nest box even though we have three others for them to choose from. I had been pretty busy this summer and forgot to get the eggs out of the coop for about 3 days when she decided she wanted to sit on them. Lol I thought it was just a phase and thought she'll get over it and get off them in a few days.....well she didn't get off of them. And after about a week I didn't have the heart to take them away from her. Then my Mille D'uccle hen "Marley" decided a week and a half in that she wanted to help her out. So they hatched out on July 1st and came from a mix of eggs they were sitting on. The laying hens I have are Barred Plymouth Rock( Zoey & Fatty), Phoenix Bantam(Sophie) , Mille D'Uccle(Marley), Blue Polish White Crested (Sharona). The roosters they were all exposed to were White Silkie (Blue), Splash Polish Crested (Priscillo), Black sex link (Delmar; RIP- he passed away today), and Phoenix Bantam mix( Everett). I was wondering if you might now what they are a mix of and what they'll look like when they get older? I will also try to put pictures up of the other chickens too. Thanks for you help!!!

I know the lil yellow one in Sophie's wing will definitely be a polish crested.

This one also has 5 toes on each foot. Believe it is also a silkie.



These are the two black ones. They have small light colored stripes behind eyes and white looking feather tips and bottoms.



This one has 5 toes on each foot and very fine feathers so I believe it will be a silkie. What color I m not sure....

The little gray one at the top of this picture came out of Sharona's egg (blue polish white crested).



Little silkie. what color will it be? Has little dark spots all over its head.
