My lil quacker has finally hatched to an extent he needed external help with his egg (please no hate for assissting) and he is trying to get away from his shell completely but he still has his yolk sac which is not shrinking and it's getting a jelly like substance around it, I don't want to do anything to hurt him/her as there is still a strong vein in the sac to the membrane what should I do?

Leave the duckling alone so he can absorb the yolk sac and don't touch him, the yolk sac, or the shell. Leave the incubator closed and make sure the humidity and temp are at the correct levels. ( Humidity should be around 55%, temp should be at 99.5 degrees F ) Do you have a picture of what he looks like right now? Ducklings normally take much longer to hatch than most other poultry. Try your best not to help one hatch unless it's been over 24hrs. I've noticed that some of my ducklings need a little more than 24hrs to absorb the yolk, pip, take some breaks, and finally, emerge from the shell. Since there's still dark, red blood vessels, this duckling needed a little more time to hatch. You can line the incubator with moist paper towels ( not hot or cold! ) to prevent the chick from sticking. It might take a day for the duckling to absorb the yolk completely.
