Today I had to save my cat from the Barred Rock girls! he went out and they ganged up on him

The birdies are all in bed now but I did decorate their coop today for Christmas

I will be getting some pictures of that up soon.

Flock update.....


The last few days my Internet has been down so I haven't been able to tell what has been going on!

Well! the 3 barred rock girls have been chasing squirrels and my cats!! it's weird the cats are really scared of them it's kind of funny.

I had a scare with Ruby I thought she may be egg bound because she was acting really funny the other day and she hasn't layed an egg in 5 days so I brought her in and soaked her in some Epsom salt for 20 min. after she had dried I let her back out and she seems fine! so I think it was just me being a over paranoid chicken mama

I said if nothing else she got a great bath and foot soak!

I gave the flock some macaroni and cheese today for the first time and they all went nuts for it!!!!!

Whats new.............

Ruby- Is doing fine but still hasn't layed an egg yet!!!

Buffy- I noticed is defiantly the dominant bird!!! and is laying great!!!

The Barred Rock girls- are getting BIG!!! (they were hatched in August) I noticed today they are almost as big as Buffy and Ruby now!!!!

Poppy (male duck)- has finally gotten over is molt and wants to mate again.

Olly(female duck)- doesn't feel the same as Poppy! poor duck.
