I realized I havent shown my big hens yet so here are my 3 adult hens:
Vancouver- 6 years old, australorp, enjoys squawking and being broody. #1 on pecking order. Still lays eggs!!
Bernice: 4 years old. Cuckoo Maran. Enjoys dust baths and trying to eat rocks. Not smart, even for a chicken. 2nd in peck order
Francine: 4 years old. Partridge Plymouth Rock. EXTREMELY aggressive. enjoys the compost and scratching in fresh hay.
Well there you go these are my big girls. our flock has certainly dwindled in the last 6 months or so we used to have 5 big hens but we've had some pass, mostly to old age related issues and one to flystrike (will tell about flystrike if anyone is curious)
