Aw! I love that stage. And it's true, chicks love interacting with you and stuff but when they get older they get skittish and they don't want to be touched. I wonder why.I was giving so attention to my Easter egger (Babs.) Then my Lavender orpington, (I call her lavender) jumps up to claim some of the attention too. I love my younger flock. My older birds want nothing to do with me unless I bring treats.
That is a very good question..Aw! I love that stage. And it's true, chicks love interacting with you and stuff but when they get older they get skittish and they don't want to be touched. I wonder why.
I've had mine all of a sudden get super skittish, sometimes 3 weeks sometimes later, then a few will calm back down, others will calm down when they start laying. And some just stay skittish foreverThat is a very good question..
Both are very pretty but I'm wondering if the one on the left is a boy?I was giving so attention to my Easter egger (Babs.) Then my Lavender orpington, (I call her lavender) jumps up to claim some of the attention too. I love my younger flock. My older birds want nothing to do with me unless I bring treats.
Better not be. I got her from a feed store and paid a pretty penny for it not to be a boy and they were very adament they do not sell roosters. Both are very pretty but I'm wondering if the one on the left is a boy?![]()
