My flock has spent its first week out in their new coop.
I go out daily and talk to them and sit with them. Well I thought I had all 8 pullets, however, it looks like I have a SLW Roo and 7 hens.
My roo I have named Colt because he has a horseshoe on his forehead. Today he decided that he likes to climb on my shoulder and peep at me. My husband can not believe how much this rooster loves me.
And he wanted to kill it!
Colt decided that my shoulder was cool and all of the sudden he jumps up on my head and makes a "cough". I guess that was a cock-a-doodle-doo to me.
Who would have guessed that 5 weeks ago I had never had a thing to do with chickens? I absolutely love to watch them and they enjoy my company.
