My little surprise - any thoughts on breed?

Hi all. I bought 12 Australorp eggs to put under my broody Rhode Island Red. 4 have hatched. I know 1s a black, 1s a blue, and 1s a splash australorp, but there's also this stripey one, which I know is not an australorp.

Any thoughts? Thank you.

It's kinda too early to make specific predictions. A lot of breeds and colors have the "chipmunk" pattern at hatch. It's very good camouflage for babies. They are precious little fluff butts!

Mystery has been solved..... how's this for freaky! I had also posted on the Australian Australorp fb page. A woman (must have seen my location on my profile) asked if I'd bought the eggs from the local poultry sale a few weeks ago... i said yes. She said i may have bought them from her... I asked if she'd also had a silver sussex pol... She said yes... we bought the silver sussex as well.... now here's the freaky bit. The mystery chick was laid by the silver sussex we bought! So it's a silver sussex x Plymouth Rock

I was wondering the same thing. Can't be barred rock.

That's my thoughts. Few varieties that wouldn't make sense.
Not sure what's available in their country.
Was also thinking if partridge rock over silver sussex it would produce sex links making that chick female.

That would be great for the original poster. It would be interesting to see what that cross looked like as an adult.
