My Little Tykes Coop Village

I just picked up one of these playhouses off Craigslist today. I had seen one awhile back that had been converted into a brooder coop so that was my plan for this one but, upon seeing this post, I'm thinking it will become a mini-coop. I have 3 different flocks (totaling 22 chickens) right now and was planning on building a larger coop or shed and trying to integrate them into one flock. I had thought about doing a 'village' type thing and building a yard around the 3 coops/tractors I have now also. Once I saw how big this playhouse actually was, I started thinking 'hmmmmm' . . . and now I'm seeing some great ideas for it on here! I love this site!

I love this idea! How did you attach roosts? This is such a great re-purpose!

Such a cute idea! A chicken village I love it. But Im just curious, how will it will keep them warm and draft free in the cold winter months? If there is a way Id love to hear it. I have a playhouse now that isnt in use by kids Id like put it to good use rather than give it away.

Thanks to everyone's excellent ideas. My little village is now the home of 4 hens and 1 young rooster. Still have some predator proofing to do, and minor bits and pieces,but finally done!
