My lone Silkie is finally zipping! *She has hatched!* Pics added

Well it's suppose to be a black silkie, that's what I paid for anyway. I got 9 eggs from a BYC member.

ok well congrats it almost lookas like a qual with all that golden to it but we will see when it is fully dry

I hatched a few silkie's and I looked on line for baby silkie pictures, and I had one that looked just like a partridge, you know like a chipmunk, but now it's like almost 2 months, AND IT"S NOW GRAY!!! Just goes to show you that you can never really tell until they get their adult feathers. Then I had another one born jet black, and is now RED...

do you have a pic of your red silkie and also the gray is it a blue silkie?

Sure do, I always have pics!!!!
This is when they were just a week or two old so you can tell the color differences.

and here is a picture of my jet black silkie....turning red.

I have more pictures on my camera that are more up to date, but I still have to down load them to my computer, but as soon as I do, you can see the gray one.

I really don't know what the parents looked like because I ordered them on-line, but now they are getting the tuft of feathers on the top of their heads, and they are in that awkward stage BIG TIME!!!!!
