My math was off... babies hatching NOW!

I thought we had until Tuesday but I fully realize that I'm guessing at the day when we finally decided to let our broody girl keep some eggs.
So.. DD went to get eggs today and viola!

DH is now out there working overtime on a mini-coop and separate run for mom and new babies. I told him he had through the weekend to finish it. oops! not now!

i hope so too. I never even noticed this one pipping or anything but when I pulled mom of the nest today to take the picture, I did note that none of the others appear to have any action.
Since we are letting the hen do it all, I'm not even positive when this one hatched, I believe we last checked the nest yesterday morning, and then found this little one this afternoon. My DH was convinced that it had to have been a long time since it is dry and fluffy, but I said that mommy would have cleaned it up and dried it off.

Also, no egg shell... I assume mom ate it?
