Are going in the Incubator tonight! first time i have hatched chicks, had hens for years though,
I am hatching 5 Indian Game and 5 light sussex, could i have some opinions on the birds i have picked ?
Also what sort of age am i looking at for a 4.5 - 5 lb bird before it meets the freezer?

Thats a lot longer than i was expecting!

Yeah dual purpose take a while. I've never had a sussex to eat, I have two speckled sussex for eggs. They are slow growing, hens don't usually lay until 18-24 weeks.
