my mom has a problem with my curtains...

I have sheets. I have a lot of windows.

So she is taking me curtain shopping for something simple.

She says....you have this great view and I can't see it.

and i said, it works for me...and she said it doesn't work for me.

ha ha....she's such the interior decorator.

Oh wow... I wish she'd come here and insist on buying me curtains.

We have sheets and blankets and even sometimes towels in our windows. Oh, and really, really dusty mini blinds in a few.

wish my mom would come over and take me curtain shopping...although not sure I want curtains...no neighbors to really speak of (or at least that can see into the house)....I like having my windows open....

Actually some sheets make very pretty curtains, maybe if you put a hem and curtain pocket on them she will leave you alone.

I would think curtains wouldn't cost any more than sheets at WalMart. Not sure why people choose sheets and towels. Can someone explain?

I just leave my windows bare except for a little topper valance. They cost next to nothing to make.

My mom made curtains for all our windows from sheets when I was growing up. I remember what a big deal it was that she got real curtains for the living room. Of course, we were po' white trash, so that explains a lot lol
By the way, we all have real curtains now in every room of our homes!

It's all a matter of dollars and cents for us. My husband's job doesn't pay the bills so putting real curtains in the windows is like .. the last thing in life I'd spend money on. I already have the sheets and towels!

Plus, we live out in the country with almost 1/2 mile between us and our closest neighbor and I, too (like Run-A-Muck) like to see out my windows - I can see the entire front range of the Rocky Mountains!
