I have a muscovy duckling about 3 months old and his/her wings are dropping and dragging on the ground is this angel wing?

Can you snap a pic? could be heavy blood feathers coming in that can cause some drooping... angel wing is where the wing sticks straight out the side kinda like hand signals on a bike lol

here NOT my bird but a good example of angel wing..

It does sound more like heavy new blood feathers coming in like Quackers said up there, but a pic would be extremely useful. ;)

idk y but I can't post pics

Are the wings still drooping then? Does it look at all like the pic Going Quackers posted up there? Do they stick out at all like that, or just droop and drag the ground? It's a bit harder to help without pictures, but if you could try explaining the problem in more detail maybe we could get a better idea? :)

no they don't stick out like that but just go down like it has broken wings or something but I'm pretty sure it's what u said just heavy blood feathers cause now ( HE ) is getting older and there beginning to perk up they don't drag anymore just sag a little

Ok, well good to know they are less droopy now. Sounds like it was just those heavy blood feathers after all. :)

I am having a similar problem with a three month old drake. His wings practically drag against the ground and get caught in his legs as he moves. I am hoping he'll be able to hold them up soon as he looks unhappy about the whole thing.

Id recommend being sure that they have enough nourishment, greens are very important.

Also around this age Muscovys wings are becomeing larger than there bodies are so its a lot of weight to hold up and with out being taught to always hold their wings in the right place, usually by the parent Muscovy, the duckling will just keep his wings down until he is old enough to put them back in there little place,

shouldnt be much to worry about they can usually fix the problems themselves in time ( this is through experience. ) by the time they are just learning to fly the problem should be fixed.
