Hello all,
Got this lovely "free to a good home" from a local farm shop as it was an "excess cockerel".
"He" is overly docile, the hens bully him despite his size, and has never once crowed. Indeed, he clucks like a girl and all! Also our "proper" roo never once tried to pick a fight with him...
So for a while we thought it was actually a hen... we've enough that we can't keep track of who's laying what!
Recently our big, lovely salmon faverolles boy passed on, so we're thinking we need a new roo to keep the girls in line. Suddenly this one is looking more and more "male"... Still not crowing or mating, mind.
So... any ideas what this one's actual gender may be... oh, and breed, if any?
