my mysterious small black hen

Hello! I have had this hen for around 5 months! Her name is Momo and she is very intelligent and cute and always lay small eggs. She is best friends with another big white/yellow chicken I have and is her superior in the pecking order despite being much smaller than her.

I always wondered what type of chicken she is or if she even is a chicken...she doesn't have a waddle and it hasn't grown at all. It seems to be old enough to be an adult chicken since the other chicken I have is a young adult hen too and I saw her grew older while Momo remained the same.

I would like to know what breed of chicken she is please! Thankyou )

Hello. Your hen looks like a very pretty little mixed breed. Mutts are the favorite chickens at our place by far, though we have lots of pretty purebreds as well. I have had one or two that looked something like yours...

Looks kinda like the coloring of a silver Cornish and kinda the body shape...not saying she is...
She is a little small for a Cornish though so if anything a mix

Crossbred for sure. I could see her being a Cornish mix, or Sebright mix. I really like her shape and pattern.

It has to have gotten the dark comb/face from somewhere, so my guess is dark cornish bantam/silver sebright mix. It's very pretty whatever it is.

shes bantam size i think

also i got her from my cousin who found it in her front lawn during a rainy day but her parents wouldnt let her keep it. idk where she came from truly tbh but my mom says its prob good luck chicken since its the year of the rooster lol.
