I need help identifying this guy. I know that he is a roo, he's my first to crow. As a chick he had the chipmunk pattern and then he looked a little barnvelderish. Now I have no clue. I'm thinking he may be a mix of something. Any ideas? The second pic is a little blurry but it shows his color pattern pretty good. He is 4 1/2 months old.

Two more pics. One at about 1 week and again at about 7 weeks. Welsummer was one suggestion I got when I posted the picture of him at a week old, but he's changed so much I really don't know.

He's a barnevelder.

Welsummers don't have lacing or red leakage thought the rest of their bodies, and their hackles are completely red. They also have larger combs.

At first I was going to say Partridge Rock... but no, looks Barnevelder.

I'm good with barnvelder, but he's my only one. I have 6 roos and will have to narrow it down a bit in the spring. I have three breeds I'm working with, wyandottes, LF polish and barred rocks. Maybe I can throw him in with my cochins for the next generation of layers.
