I often feel alone in Albuquerque New Mexico as the only crazy lady who loves my chickens. So I signed up here because the new mexico locals seemed to have a pretty active tread. I love my chickens and ducks and geese.... LOL a few feathered friends.
I keep a flock of laying hens, buff orpingtons and barnevelders, who should be laying any day now. And a few bantums cause they are really wonderful. I want a pair of white show quaility silkies but have not found them yet in my area and am really hesitant about putting chickens that beautiful through the hassle of getting shipped. Also on my list of wants is a pair of East Indies ducks.
