My Name is Karen and I love Chickens

I’m from inland So Cal. I just got some random chickens from a friend. I hope to not buy eggs. I have a veg. Garden and want to use chickens to keep bugs out. I plan on letting them out of run in the afternoon. I heard they put themselves to bed. I am starting from scratch with a 9 man flock in a chicken tractor. Thank y’all.

To keep the veggies safe I have tiny tractors for between the rows. They still eat my husband's beet tops through chicken wire but everything else is pretty safe. Enjoy your chickens!
