As the title.States I'm Megan. I live in a small town called Poolville here in Texas. I recently purchased 12 chicks. Ages three and four weeks old. 11 girls 1 boy. They are Buffs. First time raising chickens on my own. If anyone could tips and advice, history of these chickens, coope ideas.

Sounds like you have a nice flock already! Buff Orpingtons are a great breed that I'm sure you'll enjoy.

Welcome to BYC, Megan. Glad you decided to our flock. My wife and I were both born in the great state of Texas, and I have some relatives in Weatherford, TX, which is not far from Poolville. Definitely check out our Learning Center link that Yorkshire coop left you with. There is lots of useful information there than will keep you from making beginners' mistakes.
