My Neighbors Bee Sting and Chicken Poop

Well your chicken poop must be bright and cheery and smell good if a bee liked it enough to roll in it before stinging your neighbor.

I think it's more likely that she is allergic to bee stings. I have lived in the country all of my life and have never heard of a bee sting causing an infection because of nearby livestock. My foot was badly swollen when I stepped on a bee a couple of years ago. We didn't even have chickens then. It was swollen due to an allergic reaction.

Actually being OCD and having NO germs around is bad for you. Your body has good germs and bad germs at the same time, being too clean can lead to an overload of the wrong bacteria. That's why using antibacterial soaps, body washes, etc is not good for you.

I think your neighbor is koo-koo for CoCoa Puffs!

Agree with posters above that bees don't normally light on poo.
As a joke you ought to get her some of that "Chicken Poop" lip balm they sell at Meyer Hatchery and elsewhere. You know, to thank her for her concern for your kids....

For what it's worth, my best friend is a doctor who keeps both bees and chickens. Never heard him express any concern about interactions between the two.
