My nest boxes

I spent the last few days building some nest boxes in my hen house. I still need to finish the slanted roof. One hen however, just couldn't wait. She jumped right in and laid an egg!

That;s really cool! We've got to make some for our rir's and black aust. Looks like I have 12 hens on the rir and 3 roosters. Really not sure on one of the roosters, it would be nice if that one was a hen as well. ;-) Anyway have NO CLUE on the black aust. but I do have 1 that is a hen on the black sex link and that was the only black sex link I have. Anyway got to build them some nest but want to do external nesting area and have NO CLUE as to how to go about it. What size are those openings for the nests?
