My nesting boxes

Just finished up the nesting boxes for my new chickens. I still need to get a dowel rod to mount in front on the bottom trim. Few more weeks until they’ll be ready for the coop.

I went real simple. It’s just going to sit on a shelf in the coop. Can’t see in the picture but I left about a one inch gap in the back at the top for a little air flow.

I'd suggest you take the trim piece off the top of openings and add to the bottom trim piece...good to have a good 4" to keep bedding and eggs in.

Thanks i probably should make that bigger. It’s only 2.5” atm.
