I moved my hen to a smaller makeshift coop next to the other chickens to hatch her eggs. It was raining today and my new puppy nocked off a section of the roof and she got rained on....
When I found her the nest had about an inch of water in it. (Bless her, for she was so dedicated and stayed on them through the storm). I changed the bedding in the nest and put the eggs back in the nest and she is sitting.

Will the eggs be okay? I'm just really worried.

P.s. I have made sure the pup can no longer do this. So it will not be happening again

There's no way to know for sure until hatch day. Cross your fingers! It depends how long they were covered with water. Honestly...it probably would not take long before it would potentially be fatal to the chicks in the eggs. You really never know, though. BEST of luck; hope she hatches them out without issue - and it was great that you changed out the bedding & gave her dry as soon as you could!

if they don't hatch can I put new eggs under her? Or would she abandon them?
