My new 8 month old baby.

I am now the owner of an 8 month old filly that I named Prairie. She came by way of rescue due to neglect and abuse. My neighbors have her half sister Jasmine.
The farrier is coming tomorrow to start to work on her hooves.
Prarie has the purple halter and Jasmine has the tan.

She sure is a pretty thing! The poor things look wormy as all get out, but I don't know when horses shed winter coats around you mine lost theirs in February.

How big are they? They look HUGE for 8 months. Always good to rescue!

They still have some of their winter coat. Working on brushing it out. They have been wormed before we got them but we will be doing it again soon.
Jasmine is a yearling. I would say that Jasmine is about 5 feet at the shoulder and Prairie is 4.5 feet. They are close in height but Jasmine just has that little bit more.

She's beautiful - really pretty and soulful looking eyes. She looks a lot like my mustang mare, Kachina. Is she a mustang? I guess she looks more Arab to me.
CONGRATS! She looks like she has a lot of potential!

I have no clue what she is. She is very mellow and very in your face wanting attention. Her big sister is worse on the attention. She will try to get in between Prairie and I when I am trying to brush out Prairie.

Lets see what the farrier says tomorrow.
