He is totally smitten with the ducklings.
We decided (the kids and I) not to tell Bill & just see if he noticed anything new in the brooder. He didn't. So the next morning I told him. He wasn't mad, just concerned that I might overload the coop/run. He knows why I want them, and that they will lay little eggs when they aren't being broody. He doesn't quite see the charm in a little chicken that I do, however! I think we have plenty of room in both coop & run for our little banties, and we'll have to get rid of half of them anyway, because you just know all our favorites will turn out to be roos and we can't keep those.
Funny about Jeff and the ducklings, though! Well, heck, they are so adorable. Such happy little faces on 'em and the way they shake their little tails! And bantams are so beautiful once they feather out, and most of them have such good natures, I'll bet that he'll change his mind about them, too.
