The early bird catches worms they say. This little chick was 4 days early than planned 
. My beautiful bantam hen was sat on 5 pekin eggs. However, one little one couldn't wait. Now it's 4 days later and the other eggs are beginning to hatch. This will be my 4th generation hatched with only the use of broody hens. These chickens have become my family and I couldnt be more proud of this beautiful first time mum. What a treat for me. I only use broody hens to hatch my chicks. Many have told me that due to this I won't get as much chicks as I could. Well if I'm being completely honest, that don't matter to me. I have such a close bond with all my birds and feel it's unnecessary to waste this natural instincts. I was going to wait till all the chicks hatched, but I thought this little one deserves some attention
