My new babies - showgirls, pigeons, cochins!

I went to the poultry show in Salisbury, NC this weekend and brought home:

A beautiful pair of black cochins from Beth of Star Cochins in GA,
A pair of copper tipplers (or tumblers?)
10 assorted showgirl silkies (white, black, blue, and blue partridge, I think)

Oh my gosh they are toooooo cute!!! I love that pigeon. What exactly do you do with a pigeon?

Ours are just pets - a novelty of sorts. There are other breeds of pigeons that are bred for meat (called squab) and others are used for racing. The ones I raise do tricks in the air and don't have a homing instinct.
