OK that little black Silkie Rolo is very tiny and very cute, love that she has feathers on her legs already!

It

It depends on the breed.
I have two, 1 week old 'barnyard mix', and two, 1 week old Silkie x Barnyard mix chickies. I was trying to see if the barnyard mix ones were hens/cockerels; especially the one chickie who's mama is a very old (5 yrs) hen that we are hoping to have a replacement hen from. The silkies (and likely crosses) I pretty much know you can't tell until they crow or lay an egg hahaha.

The silkie cross do have 5 toes but no hairy legs... not sure if they can get feathering there later on... but they are tiny, half the size of the other two!

Do you keep those wee silkie chicks of yours in with the other chicks ?

I do keep them together. They are fine. My last bantams I kept separated because they were 2 wks younger, but they seem to be doing fine.
