My new baby, hatched this morning!

Was he/she noisy when they hatched

Well it did peep here and there but I pretty much stayed awake and kept peeking. It's noisy now does that count?!

I"m SOOOO Tired

Its like having a puppy. Since it has no one to keep it company...I am its company. It did well for its first overnight. I put in one of those happy huts you give to birds..I had one my bird pretty much hated, so I laid it in there with a washcloth inside to keep it propped open but just give a little tunnel. I loved it, had the kids hold it for a while and keep it awake, then shoved it inside. It slept from 9pm-1am which wasn't bad at all.

Than I had to get up and play with it a while so it would get all tired again then it slept till 4:30. Got up again, actually tried to sleep with it on the couch but neither it or I could get into a comfortable warm spot apparently. I just played with it for a while then had to go back to sleep. It didn't want to go to sleep anymore after that..so must not have played with it enough. Right now I feel like I got ran over....

I wanna go night night.

I forgot how peepy chicks are..and how sleepy I get... OH WELL I got 20 more in the bator!!

What if your not around when it hatches will it be ok cuz my egg my hatch when im at work

Yeah they just flop around in the bator and try to get their footing. They can live without food and water for a day because that is why they absorb the yolk. If you have a webcam you can hook it up and stream it live on ustream.tv that's what I did. I could sit and watch from any computer and see what was going on. I"m sure they will be fine while your at work.
