2 buff brahmas, and 5 mystery chicks. Ideal Hatchery sent
5 extras for warmth during shipping.

Soooo cute.... did Ideal hatchery send the five mystery chicks for free.
And for warmth.... how generous....it really is an IDEAL hatchery..... they probably cost as equally as the others lol... I wish we had hatcheries here that send chicks and breeds...etc.... we only have hatcheries that hatch laying hens for themselves and meat birds for themselves too...

Yes, they were free. Generally the extra chicks are always roosters

How cute, looks like you're doing a good job. My daughter never gets tired of having chicks inside the house. As soon as she comes home, first thing she does is looks and plays with the chicks.

They look great! Our first batch of chicks are feathering out and we find ourselves wanting to raise more chicks! Especially after seeing your photos. Fortunately, space considerations keep our chick longing under control.
